In the ever-changing medical industry, universities must remain vigilant about staying on top of technological advances and Kansas City University (KCU) is no exception. Priding themselves on preparing students to be the best-of-the-best, KCU Center for Medical Education Innovation, called upon Henderson Building Solutions to provide LEED Fundamental and Enhanced commissioning services for this landmark project.

Accommodating the constantly evolving  future of osteopathic medical education, the Center for Medical Education Innovation includes state-of-the-art medical education environments, such as a simulation deck, clinical skills suite, osteopathic manipulative medicine lab, and a multi-functional learning forum/lobby space. Henderson Building provided commissioning services on the mechanical, plumbing, and lighting controls, and worked directly with KCU to coordinate issue resolution with contractors to confirm that the building is operating to the design intent specified by the owner, architect, and engineer.

Creating environments where people can reach their full potential is right up our alley. We’re proud to have had a hand in the space that will prepare future physicians to help their community for generations to come.
