Lenexa, Kan. — Henderson Companies proudly announces the promotion of Scott Crain to the role of construction engineering director for Henderson Building Solutions, the construction management and commissioning firm behind nationwide projects for notable clients such as HCA Healthcare, the NBA, and Target. In his new position, Crain will lead the construction engineering team including overseeing project delivery and the development and execution of technical standards.

Crain previously held the role of senior construction manager, spearheading construction planning, design, and scheduling to ensure specifications are met throughout every project phase. With three decades of engineering, design, and construction experience in the public and private sectors, his vast experience includes leading architectural and engineering teams in the public sector as well as running capital construction projects for both private and public entities.

“My journey at Henderson since I joined the team in 2021 has been incredibly fulfilling and I’ve enjoyed the projects and initiatives I’ve collaborated on with clients and colleagues alike,” said Crain. “I’m looking forward to building on that momentum and continuing to help us innovate as our new construction engineering director.”

Crain is an alum of Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan., where he earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer and a longtime member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Kansas (ACEC of Kansas), the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers, and the National Society of Professional Engineers.
